Volunteer Opportunities

The Milaca  Area Historical Society is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We are an "all volunteer" organization.  There are many ways volunteers are needed.

  • Come to Milaca Area Historical Society Meetings.

There are always interesting discussions and often historical detective work. Meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of the month(except November and December), at 6:30PM, at the Milaca City Hall.

Welcome neighbors and visitors from around the world.

  • Be a reference room helper. The reference room is located in the Milaca museum and is available during regular museum hours.

Assist researchers in finding the resources they need in our collection of local records.

Help with indexing and record keeping.

  • Share your Research

We appreciate receiving copies of any family or local history research, oral histories, photographs, or privately-held records. This is how the historical record is built and preserved!

  • Share your Skills

We would be grateful for the expertise of a chainsaw artist to help repair the statue in front of the museum.

  • Supply Items

Occasionally, we need certain items to help us do museum work.

If you feel you would like to be involved as a volunteer, please contact us at 320-982-1212.
